Most people sign contracts they haven't fully read — leases, job offers, NDAs, vendor agreements — because legal language is dense and a lawyer isn't always within reach. FixMyContract exists to close that gap.
We're built on a simple principle: clarity you can act on, without the jargon.
Why we built this
The terms that cost people the most are rarely hidden. They sit in plain sight, in clauses about termination, renewal, payment, and liability — written in language that quietly favors whoever drew the contract up. The person with the least information signs anyway, because reading it properly costs time and money they don't have that week.
We wanted the opposite default: a clause-level read of the document before you sign, in language you can act on, available to anyone with the contract in front of them.
How it works
1. Send us the document
A PDF, a photo of a paper contract, a Word or Excel file, or text you paste in. Nothing else is needed to start.
2. We read it clause by clause
The analysis works through the whole document, scores each clause for risk, and flags the terms that most often work against the person signing.
3. You get something you can act on
A plain-English summary, the exact clause behind every finding, why it matters, and what you could ask for instead.
How we think about accuracy
The analysis is AI-assisted, and we'd rather be straight with you about what that means. It is built to surface the clauses that most often cause problems — a strong first read, not a guarantee.
So we show our work. Every finding points to the exact clause it came from in your own document, with the reasoning written out, so you can check each one yourself and judge what actually matters for your situation. You should be able to disagree with us — and see why.
