What these terms cover today
These terms are in force for your use of FixMyContract today. Paid plans are not yet available. Section 7 already sets out how cancelling, refunds and the 14-day right of withdrawal will work, and it binds us from the moment there is anything to buy. The one section still missing names the operating company as seller — its legal name, address and tax ID — and it will be added, as a new version, before payments open.
01Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using FixMyContract (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
02What FixMyContract does
FixMyContract analyzes contracts you upload and returns a clause-by-clause risk assessment, plain-English explanations, and suggestions, plus an optional document chat. The analysis is generated by an AI model and may contain errors or omissions.
03Not legal advice
FixMyContract provides informational analysis only and is not legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Consult a qualified attorney for decisions about your contracts.
04Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.
05Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you don't have the right to share, or that is unlawful;
- attempt to disrupt, abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service, or circumvent usage limits;
- use the Service to build a competing product.
06Your documents & content
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service (see the Privacy Policy for how long we keep data and who processes it). You can delete your documents — or your whole account — at any time.
07Cancellation, refunds & withdrawal
7.1 Cancelling your plan. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, in the same few clicks it took to subscribe. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
7.1b Price changes at renewal. Your plan renews at the then-current price for new customers. We'll tell you before the price changes, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Founding members keep their opening-day price for the period set out on our founding member pricing page.
7.2 How a refund is calculated. Your plan includes a set number of analyses each billing period, and your access starts immediately. If you ask for a refund, you pay only for the analyses you actually ran, and we refund the rest:
refund = amount you paid × (analyses you did not use ÷ analyses included in your plan)
Your plan's per-analysis rate is the plan price divided by the analyses it includes. It is shown to you at checkout, before you pay, along with the price and the billing period.
- If you did not run any analyses in that period, you get a full refund.
- If you used your whole allowance for that period, the service for that period has been delivered in full and no refund is due.
- An analysis that failed and was credited back to your allowance does not count as used.
- Document-chat messages are not counted against your refund.
This is a calculation of what you received, not a fee for cancelling. We never charge a cancellation fee.
7.2b Single-analysis purchases. Your credit is refundable in full for 14 days while it is unused; once you ask us to run it and we deliver the analysis, that purchase is complete and the 14-day right no longer applies to it — which is why we ask for your request and your acknowledgement on screen before the analysis begins.
7.3 Asking for a refund. Within 14 days of any charge — including a renewal charge — you can ask for a refund without giving a reason, by emailing legal@fixmycontract.com from the address on your account, or through the customer portal linked in your receipt. We reply within 5 business days and, where a refund is due, ask Polar to issue it.
After 14 days we can still refund at our discretion — for example if the Service was unavailable for an extended period, or if something went wrong on our side. Ask us; we would always rather resolve it directly. If you think this calculation is not fair in your case, tell us. We will look at it again.
7.4 Your statutory right of withdrawal — consumers in the EU and the UK. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days, without giving a reason.
This right is not taken away by starting to use the Service. Because FixMyContract is a digital service that adapts to the documents and settings you give it, your right of withdrawal continues until the service for your billing period has been fully performed.
If you withdraw after asking us to start immediately (section 7.5), you pay a proportionate amount for what you have already received — calculated exactly as in section 7.2, and never more than the amount you paid. We refund the balance within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method.
To withdraw, email legal@fixmycontract.com from your account address with the word “withdrawal”, or use the model withdrawal form. Any clear statement is enough.
7.5 The request you make at checkout. So that you can analyze a contract straight away, we ask you at checkout to expressly request that we begin the service during the 14-day withdrawal period. You are not required to agree; if you do not, we start your plan after the 14 days have passed. If you do agree and later withdraw, section 7.4 applies — you keep your right to withdraw, and you pay only for what you actually used.
7.6 Consumers in Türkiye. Under the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation (Mesafeli Sözleşmeler Yönetmeliği), services performed instantly in an electronic environment, and services whose performance has begun within the withdrawal period with the consumer's consent, are excluded from the right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in Türkiye and you asked us to begin immediately at checkout, that exception applies to you. Section 7.2 still applies to you as a contractual promise, so you can still ask for a refund of your unused allowance within 14 days.
You may bring a complaint to the Tüketici Hakem Heyeti or the Tüketici Mahkemesi, and, where the law requires it, mediation must be attempted before a lawsuit is filed (Law No. 6502, Article 73/A).
7.7 Refunds are issued by Polar. Paid plans are sold by Polar as Merchant of Record. Refunds are therefore issued by Polar to your original payment method. A refund does not by itself cancel your subscription — if you want to stop future charges, cancel in Settings → Billing (or ask us to, and we will). Polar may also refund and cancel on its own initiative, for example to resolve a payment dispute, and its own windows apply alongside this section.
7.8 Chargebacks. If you think you were charged in error, please contact us first at legal@fixmycontract.com — we would rather refund you than have you open a dispute with your bank, and it is usually faster. You are free to go to your bank instead; this section does not take that away. If a payment is reversed, access to the paid plan stops while the payment provider processes the reversal — not as a penalty, but because the payment for it is no longer there.
7.9 Nothing here limits your statutory rights. Where local consumer law gives you more than this section does, that law applies.
Model withdrawal form
You do not have to use this form — any clear statement is enough. It is here because the law requires us to make one available.

08Availability & changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. We'll note material changes; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
09Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixMyContract is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the Service's output. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
