What this review does not do
It reads the words of your document. It does not check the document against UK law, and it is not legal advice.
So it will not tell you, for example, whether your deposit is in a protection scheme, whether a fee is one a landlord or letting agent is allowed to charge, or whether a notice to end the tenancy is valid. The rules on those differ between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Local rules can override what a contract says, so treat the findings as questions to raise, not as a legal ruling.

Is the UK tenancy agreement review free?

Does it check my tenancy agreement against UK law?
No. It reads your tenancy agreement and explains what it says. It does not apply UK law, or the separate rules in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, and those rules can override what the agreement says. For a question about your rights, a lawyer or a tenant advice service is the right place to ask.
Is a tenancy agreement the same as a lease?
For what the report reads, yes. A tenancy agreement covers the same ground as what other countries call a lease — rent, deposit, how long it runs, repairs and how it ends — and the report reads it the same way.
Can I upload an agreement I have already signed?
Yes. The analysis reads the document either way. It is just as useful for understanding what you are already bound by as for deciding what to sign.

Is my tenancy agreement private?
